Viridian is close to an abundance of shopping and dining options clustered to close to the Texas Rangers’ Globe Life Field and Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium in Arlington. Miller Tavern & Beer Garden is a favorite gathering place for sports fans, pairing world-class beers and great margaritas with elevated bar eats. Head to Miller Tavern for drink specials, team trivia night on Wednesdays, or karaoke on Saturday nights.
Cut & Bourbon offers classic American dishes and sharable plates alongside an extensive selection of bourbons and whiskeys. Troy’s, former Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman’s restaurant, serves gourmet burgers and other pub grub plus cold beer, margaritas, and crafted cocktails. Troy’s has a huge LED display for watching the game and live music every night of the week.
Just north of Arlington’s sports stadiums on the side of I-30 closest to Viridian, The Social House is a laid-back gathering place with an award-winning food menu and over 100 beers on tap. Highlights of The Social House’s menu include prime beef ribeye steak, braised short rib pasta, Texas shrimp and grits, and ground beef, pork, and buffalo meatloaf.
Several strip malls and shopping complexes can be found running alongside Collins Street between Viridian and AT&T Stadium with many more shopping and dining options.
Things to Do
Viridian Lake Club provides residents with incredible recreational amenities right on their doorstep. The Lake Club’s five pools include a relaxing 25-foot conversation pool, a lap pool, and a fenced pool and play area for toddlers. The community also has a Tennis Center with four lighted tennis courts and a range of camps, classes, and programs for all ages and ability levels. Viridian Sailing Center offers state-of-the-art paddleboards and sailboats for use on the lake, plus a variety of sailing courses, summer lessons, and social gatherings.
There are many more fun things to do nearby. Six Flags Over Texas is a huge amusement park with thrilling rides and live entertainment. Hurricane Harbor is an exciting water park at Six Flags with enormous slides and rides for all ages.
Viridian is less than a 10-minute drive from the Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium—the largest domed structure in the world. Head to the stadium for a Cowboys game during the NFL season or visit any time to take a tour. AT&T Stadium has also hosted world championship boxing fights, an NBA All-Star game, Big 12 Championship college football games, WrestleMania, soccer games featuring international sides such as FC Barcelona, and concerts from superstars including Taylor Swift, George Strait, Beyoncé and Jay-Z, U2, and The Rolling Stones. Texas Live is a concert and festival venue next to AT&T Stadium. There’s always something going on at this world-class entertainment complex.
